Certification and Contract Compliance System

Apply for Small Business Development Programs (SBDP)

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“MTA”) seeks to facilitate and encourage the participation of small businesses, including Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) by providing a supportive framework for eligible firms to develop and grow within the construction industry and to establish stable, long-term business relationships with the MTA. To this end MTA has established a Federal Transit Administration (“FTA”) approved Small Business Federal Program (“SBFP”) for construction contractors. As well as a Small Business Mentoring Program (SBMP) for non-federally-funded projects. The SBMP is comprised of two tiers; Mentor (Tier 1) and Graduate Mentor (Tier 2).

This application should be completed by the owner of the company only.

Many businesses already have accounts in this system, including certified MWDBEs, firms that have contracts with MTA or other state and city agencies, and others. Be sure to attempt to look up your account before creating a new one.
